Thermal Image Services

pfsenergy provide organisation with a comprehensive thermal imaging service, exessive heat losses or 'hot spot' overheating can be quickly identified allowing corrective work to be carried out.

Electrical systems can have faults leading to overheating and potential risk fire, a pfsenergy themal image survey will identify any  area of concern allowing remedial action to be arranged.

Fabric heat loss

Buildings are constructed of materials with differing thermal qualities, modern buildings should be built to minimise heat loss in line with the Building Regulations current at the time of construction or alteration. Errors do occur with insulation being missed or thermal barriers bridged.

Older building will inevitably have components that allow higher rates of heat transfer such as single glazing, ventilated floors and ceiling voids.

pfsenergy can identifiy failings in thermal integrity so that corrective action can be implemented.

Loss from heating and ventilation systems

Normal  vision does not allow us to see hot spots, using thermal imaging technology give a clear picture of plant and equipment that is operating incorrectly or may have motors or bearings with early signs of failure.

Poor or missing insulation to pipe or duct work can have a very significant effect on operating costs.

Electrical systems

Thermal imaging can be very useful in identifying electrical faults and in the example, highlighting partial failure of an electrical component such as these photvoltaic panels.

Other areas of electrical systems that can cause a fire risk such as poor connections and terminals can also be identified through a thermal imaging survey.
